I’m Luis (23), the youngest of the family trio at EBERWEIN FILM. My path led me – traditionally – via photography to the film camera. Today it’s the RED Komodo (6K) and the brand-new RED V-RAPTOR (8K) that allow me to create the stunning visuals we’re known for.

To be a cameraman is a vocation for me. The camera is my digital eye – it captures fleeting impressions and turns them into lasting cinematic moments. My work is both creative and technical. And yes – sometimes physically demanding. But I love that. Especially after a long day of filming, when you’ve changed lenses a hundred times, swapped filters, flagged lights, moved tripods – and finally, the last clapperboard is hit and everything’s in the can.

This is my world.

And up in the air? That’s mine too. I’m an experienced and passionate drone pilot – including FPV – and regularly shoot aerial footage that expands the visual dimension of our films with precision and rhythm.

I also work as a 1st AC on set – a role that’s all about precision, trust and teamwork. I often collaborate with some of the most talented up-and-coming cinematographers from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, who bring their unique visual sensibility and fresh energy to our productions. Together, we push each other creatively and technically – and that’s exactly what makes a great film crew.

But my work doesn’t end on set. I’m also deeply involved in post production, where images take on their final shape. I edit and color-grade in DaVinci Resolve 20, bringing out the mood and texture of each scene. I also use After Effects to create motion graphics and visual refinements – always with an eye for detail and a feel for rhythm and storytelling.

Whether behind the lens, beside the camera or in front of the screen – I love being part of the entire filmmaking journey.
